“One man with beliefs is equal to a thousand with only interests”
         –Stuart Mill

“A good question for an atheist is to serve him a fine dinner, and then ask if he believes there is a   cook.”

-The Anglican Digest

Hebron Church is a United Methodist Congregation.  Our belief system stems from our long association with Methodism that we trace back to our founding some 150-plus years ago.

Our goal is to introduce people to Jesus Christ in ways that are affirming; to disciple believers through fellowship; to comfort those who suffer; and to bear witness that all who desire to come into God’s Kingdom may do so.

At Hebron we believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of the Living God and that everything that is necessary for salvation can be found in the Old and New Testaments of the Bible.

We believe in the Trinity: God the Father who created all things; we believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of the Father, who has redeemed us from sin and is the Savior of the world; we believe that a personal walk with Jesus Christ is the only path to salvation; and we believe in the presence of the Holy Spirit as counselor and sustainer of life.

We believe that the gift of salvation is offered to any and all who would confess and repent of their sins and seek to have Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of their lives.

We believe in the sacrament of Baptism as a gift that comes from God, and that Baptism initiates us into the Body of Christ as forgiven children of God.  We believe in one Baptism by which we are given new birth through the water and the Spirit.

We believe in the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper and that it is a means of grace by which one may come to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.  All who seek to know Jesus as Lord and Savior are invited and welcomed to the Table without having to be a member of Hebron Church.

We believe that the journey of Salvation is just that-it is a journey in which one seeks to grow in faith.  This growth is accomplished, in part, by Christian fellowship and worship.

We believe that all persons-no matter their age, ethnicity, social standing, or economic status are welcome.

We believe that we are all sinners redeemed by God’s amazing grace.  We are imperfect people made whole as we seek to follow Jesus, and that Jesus meets us where we are in the moment seeking for us to live a life of Christ.

We believe that you, too, are a part of God’s plan.  We invite you to discover a home with God’s people here at Hebron Church.
