Welcome to Hebron United Methodist Men!

The United Methodist Men’s group of Hebron UMC endeavors to accomplish the mission statement of Hebron, “Share The Gospel of Jesus Christ” and our accompanying motto, “Share It, Live It, Love It”, by providing a fellowship for men through which they can grow in their relationship to Christ and to one another.

We generally meet on the fourth Sunday evening of each month at 6:00pm for a meal, business meeting, and program.  Last year our programs focused on a 12 part series of Man In The Mirror Ministries with Pat Morley entitled “Biblical Manhood”.  The programs were so well liked that this year we are meeting weekly, (with some exceptions due to scheduling of other church meetings and events), on Sunday evenings at 6:30pm.  We are currently viewing a DVD series produced by Man In The Mirror Ministries with Pat Morley entitled  “A Man’s Guide To The Spiritual Disciplines, 12 Habits to Strengthen Your Walk With Christ”.  These sessions focus on our relationship with Christ through: the Bible, Creation, Prayer, Worship, the Sabbath, Fellowship, Counsel, Fasting, Stewardship, Service, Spiritual Warfare and Evangelism.

Our service projects this year have included the giving of 5 college scholarships of $500.00 each to deserving youth in our church; donating $1000.00 to the church toward a projector, screen and computer for the sanctuary; a tasty deer stew (50 quarts) for a family in need; support of a missionary within our church who has a ministry in Costa Rica; support for the Mebane area ministries to the hungry, and various other special projects during Christmas.

Our primary source of fund raising is our Brunswick stews.  We make the most delicious stews you ever tasted.  Honestly.  Try it and see for your self.  We make around three stews from October to January.  The fellowship involved in preparing and cooking the stews is rich.  We would like to invite you to come join us.  We have a great time together and would like to include you as well.  We’re a lot like a ‘Band of Brothers’, always looking to add a brother to the band.

Our officers include:

President-    Sammy Lankford

Secretary-    Jay A Wilson

Treasurer-   Allan Hall
